I am a woman who is trying to lose fat (well weight, but especially fat). I’ve read that muscle burns more calories than fat, so am starting to incoporate beginner weight training into my workouts a the gym. I’m just using those machines that show you how to do the exercise. I would like to build and tone muscle, but not actually get bigger in size. I’m currently a 14 and trying to get down to a 10. Are there muscles or muscle groups that are easier to build than others? My main purpose right now is to burn excess calories. Should I concentrate on one area more than another? Due to knee complications, I cannot to traditional leg press, or leg extension. I can do a modified version of them on special machines as long as I am careful.

I have this belly fat i want to get rid of and I just want to know what Are a variety of things I can eat over the course of 7 days that can help me achieve my goal. My diet pretty much consist of fast foods and what’s cooked at home. I live with my mother so I was wondering what are some healthy things I can buy that’s easy to cook and don’t take much? as well as things I can eat on the go?

I’m looking for some new weight loss tips, I work out regularly and I’ve cut out excess white sugar and complex carbs, how have you successfully lost weight?

I accidentally spent WAY too much money this past weekend and so now I’m going to be extremely broke for the next two weeks. I am trying to plan my meals out for the next two weeks so I can go to the grocery store and buy exactly what I need and not spend anymore money on food.
I’m trying to stay in the range of 1600-1800 calories per day and also watch my carbohydrates.
What meals can you suggest that won’t empty my wallet?

My friend is obese and he is starting a muscle building diet where he takes in a lot of calories on his workout days. I told him that he should lose weight before he does this. What are the health risks of doing such a diet while obese?

I have been researching different options of weight loss centers(Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, LA Weight Loss) They are all quite expensive. Weight Watchers being the least. Does anyone know of any that do not cost too much money but are still effective and provide support?
